Just viewing this you-tube video on Bullycide Victims will make you count your blessings this Thanksgiving Day.
Biggs, of Pembroke Pines, in Florida, took a lethal mixture of three drugs on
Wednesday, then blogged about it while a webcam broadcast his actions, including
his death. "There's an exhibitionistic quality to this, a strange dance between
the suicide and the audience. He's doing it for the group in a very complicated
process we don't really understand. Would he have carried it out without the
audience? Probably not." The webcam might have contributed to the psychological
distance that allowed other bloggers to urge, even taunt, the young man to go
ahead with the suicide, Shaw said. (full story)

Mr. M...
yeah... it is scary to see that children would prefer to comment what they go through in this ever more complicated world with people they just know by an internet nickname.
I'm not that old, but I still remember when networking was done in the streets... when I would meet with my three best friends to talk about life in general: problems with your parents, in school and other things not so innocent, but that were part of the growing process.
Should that networking not have been done at home?? I never sat down with my dad (until I turned 25) to talk about serious things... Parents need to take again a hold of the trust of their children. True, it is difficult, but it is not impossible... It is their right and duty...
hope your work contributes to that and if you need a hand, I got two to share...
